The law relating to data protection changed on 25th May 2018 when the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force.

Under the GDPR I am deemed ‘data controller’ of your information. I am called ‘controller’ because I make decisions about how your data is used – for example to prepare marketing materials – and I also ‘process’ your data when I carry out basic activities like storing, deleting and changing the information that I hold. I take this obligation to protect the information you give very seriously, and I always take care when using and processing it.

 

Payment processing

 

Vhairi Slaven Yoga is hosted on the Wix.com platform, which provides the online platform that allows me to offer my services to you.

 

Wix serves and shall be considered as a “Processor” and not as the “Controller” (as both such capitalized terms are defined in the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”)) of such Users-of-Users Information.

Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Collecting and using your personal data

 

This website collects data from you when you sign up to the newsletter via www.vhairislavenyoga.com and when you enter details into the form when you book a class. When you enter these details, you agree to the use of the data collected in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

 

Your name, phone number (only if you entered it) and e-mail address is stored on Wix.com, which I use to send you information about class details and changes, news and workshops. Vhairi Slaven Yoga does not sell your information to anyone else.

You have the right to opt out at any point using the unsubscribe button at the bottom of all emails and you also have the right to be forgotten at any point. If you unsubscribe your information will be deleted from the mailing list but if you would like to be deleted completely, then please email vhairislavenyoga@gmail.com.
